This should make me sad, but I just feel numb. Maybe a little sad. I think, deep down, that I've already given up on humans entirely. The human species is like a bowl of cherries that's been dumped in a sewer. Sure, there are ripe cherries in the mix, but they're forever corrupted by the sewage. You can never isolate the pure cherry from the muck it's floating in no matter how diligently you wash it off.
