I live in Canada on the shore of Lake Superior and after a 5 year steady increase in water volume, the likes of which are unprecedented, levels are starting to drop and this has been a very dry year beginning with winter, not much snow fall and very little rain so far. Ground water levels were 2ft sub surface, now they're at 3ft. Normal ground water depth is about 4ft after which further decreases lead to disruption of the aquifer ie I have a well depth of 136 ft with a normal static level of 131 ft. Back in 2008, after a decade of minimal precipitation and dry temperatures my static level dropped considerably to about 15ft....in accordance with historical data I see another 10years of water problems.
