Your hunch is correct. Jesus is just a vector for Confucian philosophy taken out of the East and injected into Judaism. Later the Roman's realized that this new cult was wonderfully compatible with state control ("render unto Caesar that which is Ceasar's...") since after all the underlying philosophy was created to serve as a social contract between the Chinese and their emporor, after a few tweaks (delete a few stories, change a couple) the Romans went from persecution to endorsement to mandate and the rest is history.
It 100% was. One of its core pieces of doctrine is, "There are neither Jew not Gentile, Male not Female. All are One in Christ." Or something pretentious like that. It's Civic Nationalism.
Ask any white nationalist who is also a Christian: "Would you rather live in a 100% white ethnostate that's completely agnostic and Christianity or any other religion doesn't exist OR would you rather live in a 99% NON-WHITE nation that is 100% a Christian Theocracy and everyone sincerely believes in Christianity, not just like "I guess I'll check Christian on this census that I don't care about and never think of it again." 100% true believers."
And EVERY Christian white nationalist will either choose the Christian Theocracy or just refuse to answer. And the fact that none of them choose the white ethnostate speaks volumes about the effect Christianity has had on ethnic Europeans.
It's as foreign to our spirits as Islam and Judaism. We'll never save the West until we remove it from our lands.
