I put it this way to anyone who bitches about the Israel problem:
"Look, you own what, 5 acres? Let's say the US govt. just decided, because fuck you, to take 2.5 acres of your land and give it to the [insert local Indian tribe, let's go with] Cherokee because it had some historic significance to them. Then every time you try to set foot on your once-homeland, the Cherokee tell you to fuck right off and threaten you with violence. You might hold a grudge, eh? Oh, and the Cherokee slowly infringe further upon your land with the full blessing of the government, until you're down to about 1 acre. And every time you defend against this infringement, you're labeled a terrorist by the US govt. Are you really a terrorist? Or are you just trying to defend your land against an oppressive regime?"
I have no love for Palestinians, but I can clearly, plain as day see-and-sympathize-with their gripe with Israel and the Jews. I don't understand how anyone can overlook it - the world just comes in and evicts you from your ~1000-year ancestral land and gives it to Jews "because religion" or whatever fucking excuse they use. Fuck that I'd be a "terrorist" too; "one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter."
Isn't the entirety of the Gaza strip (some 24 kms long) completely curtailed from Israeli territory by a 12 meter high concrete, barb-wire topped, flood light barrier, with every passenger/ vehicles access point tightly controlled by armed Palestine Authority and IDF, as well as ALL imports of electricity, fuel, fresh water, food and consumer goods and medical supplies to Gaza controlled by Israel through the border access.
That is a great way to describe it. There is a history before the one that you posted as well and it goes like this:

And the fucking mesopotamians or sumerians had it before them big whoop. My point is, for roughly 1,000 years or more, it's been under Arabic and/or Muslim rule. No Jews allowed. So similarly to the Indians that owned my land only 300 short years ago, it would be an egregious affront to my rights to take my property and give it back to them.
If they come and fight me for it, that's a different story. But for some overwhelming bully to come in and say "fuck you this is how it is now" - well, that'll make someone fight against some bullshit like that. And suddenly that person is a "terrorist" for fighting against the system that fucked them.

The Palestinians were kicked out of every Muslim country before Israel was even a thing. They literally were roaming the entire region looking for a place to live. When Israel came into being they tried living there because "hey there's no where else to go". Well now they all fund the Palestinians to fuck with the Israelis.
In other words, both sides are full of shit and can go fuck themselves. I have no sympathy for the Palestinians any more than the Israelis.
