Imo this stuff is going to be inevitable while technology is being developed. That being said i would never use that feature in any car no matter how good the technology.

Depending on how new your car is, you could have that agency taken from you.

A few years ago a bunch of college students were able to hack into a Jeep Grand Cherokee through it's onboard networking while on the highway, and were able to accelerate and break the car from a computer in another car.

Drive by wire with network connectivity means you can remotely control these vehicles.

The danger doesn't come with the vehicle being new, the danger comes in 10 years when all these new 2021 cars will have windows ME levels of security. You don't plug a Windows XP machine into the internet, can't imagine it won't be similar for vehicles soon.

I wonder if the parameters of the autosteer features were explained. Not just in a book but face to face with the sales person.
