Thanks for your knowledgeable response. Are you saying that the small number of spikes resulting from the Novavax and Moderna/Pfizer shots are only dangerous immediately after the injection until the macrophages destroy them? Won't any damaged endothelial cells be replaced by healthy ones fairly quickly?
The spike proteins crated by the mRNA and by the viral vector vaccines don't even leave the cells, and these cells get destroyed by killer cells anyway. Spike proteins from the real virus (Chinese and Indian traditional vaccines) and from artificial viruses (Novavax) are dangerous for some cells and the cells get killed and replaced. All this affects only a very small amount of cells, almost nothing compared to the real virus.
So in theory Novavax should be no more dangerous than any traditional vaccine that can cause anaphylaxis in rare cases.
Yes, in theory. Maybe the vaccine is even better because it lacks the hull of the virus, so it skips the production of many useless non-neutralizing antibodies. But there are things they should test in long running trials first: What dose is really needed? Are adjuvants really needed to tickle the immune reaction? The molecule, that holds the spikes together, can it cause trouble?
