Back when I was in boot, there was a pair of kids who really got homesick about 3 weeks in. They missed their girlfriends. So they came up with a plan- one night, make sure every recruit on firewatch saw them kiss.
I remember being awoken to a pissed off senior DI having his wall pounded on by firewatch recruit to inform him that Recruits so-and-so were... kissing, sir.
Never saw those guys again. I don't think this would have worked for them like... 3 or 4 years later, probably would've just gotten them quarterdecked or severely disciplined... idk how the fuck a sexual situation would be handled, because that shit never came up.. we were more focused on, y'know, becoming warriors.
It was the perfect way out of the Army. When I was going to Iraq my battalion got stop-lossed and a bunch of guys who were supposed to leave had to stay. So one guy basically just told the command he was gay and he was gone in like a day or two. That shit trumped anything, but Obama got rid of it.
