Black box REMOVED! Diode and 3 resistors complete signal loop. Truck runs just fine,5yrs now. See how smart you arent? Correct I did it five years ago.KNOWS THEY CANT READ IT.

Gonna use some SWAG here:

You ran power from a common higher voltage source (Ignition switch maybe) and used diodes and resistors to meter the charge down to the correct reference voltage (maybe 5 volts) and fed it to the "black box" sensor port?

I know enough about cars that it wont be that simple on new cars. A lot of cars have encrypted ECUs. So unless you have a tricked out honda civic with an aftermarket ECU. Or a car from the 90's. Im not sure I buy it.
