With a budget of $4 billion...why is the deputy using his personal bodycam? I'm glad he has something, but shit Sheriff Ballotharvest...you should have enough for everybody you send on patrol shift to shift.
“Yes, I started to record because you’re a murderer,” she tells him.
Did she source that? I don't like police, because of active policing (which is what traffic stops are), but I don't go around calling them murderers and other insults.
We live in desperate times, cops need to buy their own equipment to protect all because some people are losing their minds.
I know Long Beach PD officers buy their own weapons (not sure about ammo), but that policy kind of makes sense as you get to pick a weapon that you are comfortable with. Every officer on shift has a camera to use though.
I'm not faulting him for having his own camera if the department won't/can't. It just makes the department look disorganized.
Truly gives the impression the department is not supportive of the person in uniform and the citizen, if they are unwilling to put money into body cams. Most of these organizations need overhauling of their budgets as they have large salaries for people who produce nothing, while the police on the beat, are buying their own equipment.
