The lipid nanoparticle that contains the RNA could hang around for awhile. Who knows how long? If you were intentionally trying to make the nanoparticle last a long time maybe you could prolong the duration that the body was manufacturing spike protein. But at some point the LNP will degrade and the RNA will be used up. Eventually it will be all gone.
