His references to "Nazis" and "GeStaPo" in regard to their behaviour, are in fact valid. Harassment and spot-checks was widely used, in Germany and in occupied countries alike, as a tactic against dissidents and whoever was considered enemys of Das Partei or just questionable in some form or way. However, if Nazis were in control, i highly doubt that he would dare to even politely question anything, as that could be the expressway to "resocialization"..
