Oh, you'll be interested to know that the part of "Poland" that Hitler "invaded" had been Germany a few years prior and was taken from them as reparations for WWI.
No way! Colour me shocked.
Danzig had been swapping back and forth between various German, Polish, Russian and Swedish states for centuries. It was hardly the German ancestral homeland or something.
Germany were also the good guys, objectively, in WWI.
Eh. It was a war which didn't need to happen. They weren't uniquely guilty for starting it, but they weren't innocent either.
It would be like if Mexico started a World War, the US fought and won it and demanded life return to normal, then The Jews in Mexico colluded with the Jews in the US to bring the Jews in Europe into the war. Then Europe comes out of nowhere defeats the US who had done nothing wrong morally or legally, and then gives New York State to Canada. And then Canada starts abusing the residents of what once was New York State. Would America not be justified and reclaiming New York State? That's essentially what happened in post World War I Germany
No, it would not be like that.
It would be like the US invading Cuba because it looks like it's going to become part of Spain again, then losing both Cuba and Florida in the process.
