If he would have not shot the fat sheboon, but allowed it to goodify pink clothes sheboon, by ventilation, then no one would know fat sheboon's name. Instead the story would be, "pink clothed sheboon,(insert pinkies name here), dies while evil raycist cop does nothing". Everyone would know pink sheboon's name but fatty would be the nameless ape. It wouldn't matter what cop did, the same "story" would be the result. "Cops be raycist to nigger beasts!" That's the story being pushed, no matter what actually happens.
