Democrats live in a self-constructed religious bubble of faith that only can exist because of circular reasoning and the denial of objective reality (how very post-modern of them). They ignore the biology of gender. They ignore the reality of racial differences. They ignore the effects of their policies. Their entire belief system consists of an internalized "some other dude did it" defense. If something bad happens it's because a bad dude did it. Their guys are good, therefore it wasn't one of them.

Their entire belief system is not falsifiable. In other words, there is no possible set of theoretical circumstances or information that could cause a Democrat to concede their beliefs are incorrect. For example, if you believe that income taxes hurt the middle class, there is at least a theoretical set of circumstances that could cause you to stop believing such a thing. For example, if the IRS eliminated all income taxes and everyone in the middle class was no better off than they had been before. That's not going to happen, but if it did in theory you would concede that income taxes weren't hurting the middle class. Democrats do not operate rationally in that way. No matter what information is presented that directly contradicts their beliefs, they steadfastly refuse to revise them. In fact, they often dig in and become even more resistant to change.

When a hypothesis or belief is not falsifiable it is not rational. The belief is elevated to the status of a religious faith, and liberals treat their beliefs thusly. The mere suggestion of fallibility of their gods triggers calls for an inquisition. Heretics must be rooted out and burned at the stake.

All of this is to say that in his mind, Biden isn't ignoring anything. The damage was caused by bad guys, not our guys. We know this because our guys are not bad guys.
