The judge is gearing the case to be a train wreck. He did not sequester, the case was not moved to a different city, and he's allowing the prosecution all sorts of advantages like refusing to call a mistrial when the prosecution did exactly what he told them not to do. The jury is thinking "Hell no, I don't want to say not guilty. My health is not worth this shit.".
This cancer is systemic. Corruption and compromised people are at all levels and all positions of power. Wish there was a clear path to cutting it all out and making these people face a firing squad, but, we have to face it. The jury will likely vote guilty.
