I thought this is what they wanted? Permanent government nanny state?

[–] [deleted] 4 pts

Yeah, you would think that at some point they would stop electing radical liberals to run their state. Until they do, I don't feel sorry for them.

Oregon going full retard

everyone I ever met from Oregon was fucking strange.

strange in a way I could never put a finger on, but they all have it.

I'm not entirely certain they are human.

I'm 30 some miles out of PDX. Besides the big cities, PDX, Salem, Eugene, Corvallis; Oregon is SO FUCKING RURAL AND CONSERVATIVE.

My county is a Second Amendment sanctuary as of 2021, along with a handful of other rural Oregon counties.

We had import PDX/BLM protests last summer and greeted ~100 import protesters with no joke 200+ rifles and 300+ citizens.

all the wierdos I met were all from Portland I think, so probably not rural folks.

You get what you vote for... This is coming to each blue state near you...

"“We have a large subset of patients that are unwilling (or) hostile with the current guidelines"

...and you thought no one heard you......

"no longer necessary to address the effects of the pandemic in the workplace.” who and how do they get to to detemine this?

[–] 0 pt

To my knowledge, there is no scientific data supporting their determination. The only study/studies people have attempted to use are faggetey ones where they spray aresol particles resembling covid dimensions through different materials into a cardboard box. Even in these studies, cloth masks are pretty ineffective. Just go to a grocery store and watch how many people constantly adjust their wetted masks while determining what sort of corn soylents for dinner.

I'm surprised Oregon doesn't charge sales tax.

[–] [deleted] 3 pts

They make up for that with massive tax rates on everything else. What do you expect from a state where the residents are too stupid to pump their own gas?

[–] 0 pt

they make up for it w/ property taxes.. Super high here.

The citizens of each state need to get initiatives on the ballot that clearly and unambiguously outlaw any public health order that doesn't also include empirical metrics under which the order will be lifted. The initiative should also clearly state that any citizen of the state has standing in state court to collect monetary damages from any public official issuing or enforcing an order that does not comply with the law, and that violations of the law strip any claim of qualified immunity.

>The proposal would keep the rules in place until they are “no longer necessary to address the effects of the pandemic in the workplace.”

Imagine pouring water into a sieve and saying as long as water keeps leaking, the sieve stays. This is what we're dealing with.

Fascism has to have rules.

let's see if Portland antifa follows the rules
