Oddly enough though, one of the first things to get “dumbed down” by communist is a nation’s architecture. The achitectural designs of a nation bring character and inspiration to its people. It gives them pride of home, city, state and country. It requires skill, education and sense of belonging to community. Look around you at the cookie cutter horseshit that is the same shit coast to coast. The only buildings that have any kind of character are those built prior to WWII. Look how after the destruction of the absolutely stunning cities in Germany to the pure commie trash they put up in place. If there is no beauty in where you live, what is there to care for?

Beauty and craftsmanship for their own sake are reminders of why we want more than just survival. Look at the cars from the 50s. Look at the buildings from the gilded age. Look at the explosion of music and art and culture that accompany them.
Wheb you take enough pride in the beauty of form as well as the function of form you are striving for more than just utility and efficiency. If you remove that you remove people's desire for more than just survival.

My grandfather once told me when he saw that I had a craftsman’s spirit, “Son, if you’re going to make things, make them as if you were presenting to and being graded on them by the Greatest Creator of All, God Himself.” This alone can make you a better person and and give thee a keen eye for spotting bullshit works be they spiritual or physical with just a mere glance. Knowing the difference is half the battle. Many do not know or understand all that has been stolen from them in these times.
