He definitely acts odd but I always figured it was the role he was playing. Heard he had to stand in at the last minute cause the actor got injured.
yes he is buzzing on cocaine, where he is sitting on the back seat, looking up at the window. The paranoia, the grandiosity, the glazed eyes. It was part of that lifestyle. There is accounts of where they couldn't shoot on certain days because everybody had been doing too much cocaine and the whole crew was worthless. Drugs = CIA.
