Sikh is a special offshoot of Hindu that was created to fight the Muslims. That’s why they always carry knives.

Edit: it’s obviously much more complicated than that, but they are both Indian religions, both share many elements, but the Sikhs are the fighters.

I always thought the Sikhs should change their slogan to. Sikh and ye shall find.
