I got a call to come to work for a small welding company. The owner said they needed me for a project out in the field putting up some gate or fence or something. I show up at the shop, wait for him to come in and his son arrives first. He basically ignores me as he unlocks the gate so I tell him who I am and why I'm there.
He says I'll need to put on a mask. Me: "I don't wear a mask" He tells me that's going to be a problem as I'll be around other people. I'd already been in the office talking to the father while the son was there and no one ever said a damn thing about wearing a mask that time. I tell him then, "Well, then you don't need me!" I start walking away, turn back and say, "And tell your dad don't ever call me 'cause I don't put up with that shit!".
So why was I so hostile? Because, the guy wasn't wearing a mask either and when I was in their office neither one was wearing a mask. So to hell with them.
Yea. He’s just one of those people. An excuse to tell people what to do so he can feel like he has power over you. This guy who gave me shit was in a restaurant. 20 people five feet away not wearing masks. I don’t claim to be a smart person but some of the blatantly stupid shit this virus has caused some people to do infuriates me. I don’t have a problem with following rules if they make sense to me. What gets me is when I question your stupid rules, you can’t explain it in the why and still expect me to listen to you. Iv already had the virus. There’s no reason for me to wear shit. No reason at all
They're never able to give good reasons and when you demand it, they resort to "rules" bs. It's exactly the same type of response to expect from children.
