How those "medical experts" still have their license or are immune to slander I can't figure out.
So we've got the actual examiner who performed an autopsy on Floyd, and a whole bunch of guys who didn't. This isn't a case: it's a joke.
Having been a juror on a case with competing medical 'experts' I can tell you the system is indeed bullshit.
True, but not unique bullshit to this trial.
Not unique at all.
Leave the cop alone. Family already got their payout
The good thing is George floyd has been sober ever since this event occurred.
Expert opinion merchants. Anything for a buck.
In fairness, it's pretty normal to have one physician perform an autopsy then have other physicians act as expert witnesses based on the autopsy report.
Not every expert witness needs to have personally performed an individual autopsy.
If they're being paid or asked to give an opinion a certain way then it's bullshit. Also, they can only give an opinion on the autopsy report, on whether it's accurate or not.

Possibly, but that's how the expert witness system works. They're being paid to give a more informed opinion than the average joe and defend it (and their reputation) on the stand.

Are you sure? I was under the impression they could draw facts from it (and other things entered into evidence) and draw independent conclusions.
So the guy who did the autopsy is an average joe. Got it.
