Digital fiat is inherently worthless AND STILL FIAT
Buy Silver. At least electronics, computers and electric cars need silver.
It's been a dogshit investment since 2007 when I started. My crypto has made me rich though. No doubt about it. Crypto is the future. To deny blockchain is to be the person in front of a mechanical typewriter licking Stamps and sending letters in the 90s when the internet was in full swing.
Sure metals will go up but all things that can be assigned value will be priced in the base currency of btc. Btc will be like gold-tonnage not gold coins but TONNAGE. unobtanium.
Lots of people who got in at the beginning get rich in PONZIS
How many 40+ year olds do you know who use bitcoin for regular transactions?
How many 16+ year olds use bitcoin for daily transactions? (groceries)
It's been over a decade and you still can't even buy groceries because IT'S NOT PRACTICAL AS A CURRENCY
Nor does it have a store of value
Cool! Have fun in the very near future buying groceries with silver coins. I'm actually in my early 40s and have a crypto debit card. You don't know who's using it because it is transparent. Even a couple thousand dollars worth now could make a big difference for you and your family in the future. Tiny risk potentially large return. Perhaps look at the market cap of btc relative to gold. You can laugh at me a year from now when it's at zero.
Digital fiat is inherently worthless AND STILL FIAT
But not all cryptocurrencies are fiat. For example, you can use them to secure blockchain based computation and storage.
"computation" and "storage" ... COMPLETELY WORTHLESS
You have a computer that can already do computation and storage.
There are already internet services that can do computation and storage, many free.
There are already internet services that can do computation and storage, many free.
That's funny, I thought you said computation and storage were worthless because computers exist. It's almost like there's some kind of value in having a third party do it.
Your 1st sentence and whole main point is just wrong.
Completely fiat. Literally printed out of thin air into the internet. Thousands of coins, many the exact same. Create your own "bitcoin" out of thin air if you want!
You don't need a "crytpo" to do computation or storage on the internet. "Digital space" is absolutely worthless
But what about the price manipulation of precious metals? Silver should be at a much higher price with such demand.
The only metals anyone should be investing in are lead and brass.
You're both right.
Yes, it is CHEAP still
Look into the history of silver prices in Weimar.
Buy 10 oz every week, they can't keep this up forever. From what I understand, silver is extremely rare, rarer than gold ATM. This house of cards won't collapse until they say so, unfortunately. Even then, they can still manipulate the price of silver while the dollar is worth a trillionth of what it once was. I only trust ammo, food and a clean water source.. but it still doesn't stop me from buying a pound every now and then. It's much safer than keeping anything in the bank.
