I once mocked the FBI for saying something similar to "motives unknown" in a shooting where the gunman wore traditional islamic dress and kept yelling bout akbaring allahs. I sent in a resume and cover letter explaining that I was better than their entire agency put together and deserved a salary to match. They replied with a phone call saying they were not that incompetent, and that they knew it was islamic terrorism.
Still, I might send in a resume to this police department to mock them as well.
