Long story short, hippies (i.e. communists) invaded the left coast preying on "small c" conservatives love of the environment and used it to ram through a communist agenda. Also, the republican party still are but always have been rapacious globalists who could give a flying fuck about an anything but profits. Basically dat wyppo empathy.
