I could absolutely see this. However a couple things. The second hand market for these toys will drive the cost of them up. That's par for the course anytime this stuff happens. I truly believe that these companies think people actually buy into this shit. I also think that's it's more division sowing and it's not like the taxpayers won't bail these companies out if these demoralizing decisions fail. So I see a sales push first to cover the losses while people lose interest and demoralization of people like us turning staples of our culture into bastards.
