It's micromanagement. What you expect from your employees is the trust, and get the work done. If they don't deliver the work somehow, then fire them, but don't micromanage their every aspect.

The secret to good management is to secure the voluntary commitment of the workforce.

Then employees go above and beyond the job description, and the company profits as a result.

That requires you treat your workers with respect, because workers like that deserve your respect.

They have earned it.

It's a leadership function, and if workers are quitting, management is failing to do it's job.

but only a small % of men are smart enough to lead properly. so often when u have a large company and give managers free reign they fuck up, or one of them creates a lawsuit which costs the company a huge amount. so instead they select soulless automatons aka females to be the middle managers and micromanage according to laid down strictures. i'm pretty sure fear of being sued for one of their tired drivers killing someone is why amazon has introduced these parameters
