Hahahahahehehewhoa, I quit driving tractor trailer when they came out with the cdl! Fuck them . I hate working to the lowest common denominator. All rules and law is to the lowest common denominator. Because a small percentage of fuck ups who fell asleep and such i gotta pay. FUCK YOU! Accidents went up after cause all the cowboys said fuck it! Like the roads now? With all the put of work cpa's and niggers driving? Didnt think so

[–] 18 pts (edited )

The roads are a fucking mess now. I still enjoy it but only because I avoid the interstate as much as possible and just sleep on shoulders, abandoned parking lots, and the occasional mom and pops truck stop. I use the back highways and just see loggers and livestock haulers for the most part.

We can't even park anywhere anymore because drivers hitting stuff and throwing their piss bottles and shit bags everywhere. Or sweeping their trailers out into parking lots.

Getting fuel is a 30-60 minute adventure because you have to go hunt down a nigger to get him the fuck off the fuel island. They'll be wearing flip flops, dirty sweat pants, and one of those giant nascar bluetooth headsets. Despite constantly being on the phone, they still clog up channel 19 running their mouth or playing nigger rap.

You have to constantly pass trucks on the right because everybody is a middle lane cowboy now. They'll block the hammer lane with a turtle race for 15 miles because there truck is governed 1 mph faster than the nuetered truck they are passing.

You can't pull into a rest area without possibly getting bent over for an inspection. Most DOT have been friendly as hell with me but it's the principal. I received a ticket for the tandem bridge law with an empty trailer. $100. I politely asked the scale master what the purpose of the law was for and he said, "To be honest, I'm not sure." Then how can you justify writing a ticket for it?

The 14 hour rule forces drivers to drive tired because we can't waste our 11 hour clock or split it up how we see fit. The 8/2 and 7/3 split helps a little but that rule is too confusing for half these drivers to even know how to use it. The 34 hour reset is just fucking stupid. The 30 minute break as well. I've been 10 minutes from a destination but had to do a 30 minute break to gain enough time back on my clock to get there. How does making me wait an extra 30 minutes to go to sleep keep me rested? I'm seriously considering going into livestock so I can run paper logs. I'm just not sure how to go about that.

Good on you for getting out though.

Edit: Sorry. Apparently I needed to get some stuff off my chest.

I travel on the holidays to visit family (fuck planes), and I used to be on the road a few hours a day to go to uni. And I have to say it: fuck those stupid niggers in those 18-wheelers. It's like they intentionally fuck everything up as much as possible to bring traffic to a crawl anywhere near them. And it's always a dumbass nigger too.

Though I thought it was funny the one I saw got stuck in an intersection because he couldn't make the turn like everyone else.

[–] 11 pts

I moved to the country. Now I drive my golf cart on rarely trafficked roads. The squirrels and birds are better behaved than nigs, always moving out of my way.

[–] 5 pts

Because they do it on purpose. Just like walking in public. They'll intentionally get in your way hoping you say something so they can chimp out.

Most of them, except for maybe a few of the old school ones, can't back for shit so they'll park every where except for an actual spot or they'll nose into a spot so they cant see what the fuck they're doing when they need to back out in the morning.

The whole industry is a joke right now.

I've always thought trucking sounds like an amazing job, but that kind of crap and all the trying to drive through enormous cities just sounds like a pain in the ass. What's it like when you get to your destination? I always see huge truckers working for supermarkets trying to back their trailer up in a tiny car park and it's nerve racking.

[–] 2 pts (edited )

I pull tankers now and have it really easy. Most places I deliver to are 24 hours, I rarely have an actual appointment, and I only deliver to plants and warehouses.

Once you get used to backing it isn't bad at all. It can get frustrating when the four wheelers get around you and don't understand how our trailer is going to track. I always said drivers should work at least a month as a yard dog. Then you'll be able to back up as easy as you drive foward.

It can be an amazing job. Like I said before, just stay off the interstate when possible. You'll avoid most of the bullshit and the scenery is better. You come across some cool places.

Excellent points. I drive all day for work, not a trucker, but I use a lot of Pilots. ALL the coloreds have the headset, all of them standing in line babbling to some distant colored.

Also, I stopped at a rest stop to piss and watched the SECURITY GUARD stopping truckers walking in for imagined violations he saw AND called DOT on them

[–] 2 pts (edited )

That's insane. I've never seen a security guard pull something like that. I would have been gone long before D.O.T. showed up. I do see D.O.T. swarm rest areas and start banging on the sleepers for inspections on drivers that are just trying to take a break (Ohio is notorious for this). And during an inspection you have to kick your logs into on duty so if you were in the middle of doing a 10 hour break, too bad. You have to start over.

The real assholes will also walk down the line issuing parking tickets to the guys that pulled in late and are parked on the shoulder. What are they supposed to do. After about 7-9pm there is zero truck parking left anywhere.

Also, I used to pull flatbed so I frequented a lot of the same places loggers deliver to. Loggers are almost always over legal weight. I saw a DOT set up portable scales just down the road from one of those places and started nailing everyone of them coming in until word got out on the radio.

[–] 1 pt

Lol no need to be sorry. I am not sure I understood half of what you said but good rant

[–] 2 pts (edited )

Lmao understandable. Basically, to sum it up, lawmakers who've never even seen the inside of a truck have complicated when/how long we can drive and there are too many niggers out here now.

[–] 1 pt

Yeah, some board room guys in amazon make the decisions because they never drove before. Guaranteed they bring in these rules but don't reduce the amount of parcels they expect to be delivered per day

[–] [deleted] 3 pts

It's micromanagement. What you expect from your employees is the trust, and get the work done. If they don't deliver the work somehow, then fire them, but don't micromanage their every aspect.

[–] 0 pt

Exactly.

The secret to good management is to secure the voluntary commitment of the workforce.

Then employees go above and beyond the job description, and the company profits as a result.

That requires you treat your workers with respect, because workers like that deserve your respect.

They have earned it.

It's a leadership function, and if workers are quitting, management is failing to do it's job.

[–] 1 pt

but only a small % of men are smart enough to lead properly. so often when u have a large company and give managers free reign they fuck up, or one of them creates a lawsuit which costs the company a huge amount. so instead they select soulless automatons aka females to be the middle managers and micromanage according to laid down strictures. i'm pretty sure fear of being sued for one of their tired drivers killing someone is why amazon has introduced these parameters

[–] 2 pts

Meh, they'll turn it off when it shows niggers are lazy and white people work.

[–] 2 pts

If you shop or work at Amazon you are part of the problem. I don't care if they've got good prices stop shopping there

[–] -1 pt

Yep, it's the same as buying from China. You've saved a penny, now your kids are going to be jobless because everyone stopped buying from domestic producers and they've all gone bust. Also congrats, because you created a Chinese monopoly the prices have gone up because there is no competition

[–] 2 pts

On the one hand, Amazon likely gets hit with lawsuits all the time due to accidents their drivers are in, and they're probably also a big target thanks to the company's profile. They probably also have to cover plenty of traffic tickets. I'd bet they have teams dedicated to figuring out how to improve efficiency and reduce lawsuits, and a way to monitor drivers and get bad ones out from behind the wheel before they cause a collision is a benefit to the bottom line.

On the other hand, placing humans under constant surveillance and criticism is nerve-wracking, a good way to chase people off the job, like what happened with the driver FTFA. Humans aren't machines, treating them like they are doesn't work.

On the gripping hand, now that this technology exists, the family of someone killed in an accident will start moaning how Amazon didn't utilize it, how they don't care about public safety, and authoritarian politicians (left or right) will take up the call, because surveillance and population management are their bread and butter.

How the hell do we fix this?

[–] 1 pt

Give it five to ten years. All this work will be done by autonomous robots anyways.

[–] 1 pt

Worst thing I ever saw related to trucking was an improvised weigh station created by 2 cops on an illinois state highway. Absolutely fucking highway robbery and made me feel like I lived in some corrupt 3rd world shit-hole.

[–] 1 pt

don't use a seatbelt

That's fine. The liability is on amazon for injuries.

yawn

That's retarded, jewish communism and I agree with.

[–] 1 pt

Oh, Oh-no! How is society going to function without a tired, seatbeltless, Amazon truck driver on our roads!?!?!?

[–] 6 pts

You miss the point

[–] 1 pt

He should hit something and die but we keep engineering stupidity avoidance systems, which will inevitably lead to the destruction of mankind as the final waves of communism pull us into the abyss?

[–] 0 pt

Yeah, did you read the story? You think he should just bend over and take it?

[–] 0 pt

Yeah he completely misunderstood the implications.

[–] 1 pt
