If we pose your response in comparison to what was originally thought of as hippie culture--turn off, tune out, etc. Then yes, I agree with you. The hippies from the 60's and 70's became the yuppies of today. Those boomers became everything they hated. They merely brought the counter culture with them and made it mainstream. The alternative would be to go back to what their parents were; traditional and classy. 🤷‍♂️
