They are selected for the most dangerous missions. > How many people have the personnel or intel available to pull off any major raid? It's not about the forces that exist now, its about conditions becoming bad enough to *create* those forces. And the state will do it all on its own because the state has overextended itself now and the regime is in a death spiral and everyone with two brain cells can see it. This is just my assessment from an analytical standpoint of where america is, and what a hypothetical civil conflict in the u.s. would look like.
