Don't you hate it when you get attached to a tool and someone "borrows" it. I had a ten inch Craftsman adjustable I was taking on construction jobs building steel tanks. Then I see the foreman's son in law walking around with it sticking out of his pocket. I claim it back and he later steals it. Must have removed it from the job site? I'm sooooo pissed. I loved it because my Grandpa died and it's the only thing from Grandpa I got away with as the rest of the family, (my aunt mostly) swooped in and removed everything of value. I go to store and buy two brand new Generic adjustable wrenches. 8" and 10" inch. As normal I leave the 10" on the current cylinder I am using for gas. Will I ever learn? I should have attached a chain to it and locked it to the cylinder and also engraved my badge number on the wrench. That afternoon my wrench is missing and I have to borrow a wrench. I'm pissed. Only five guys are on the crew and this shit should not be happening. Then I see the foreman's son in law with my brand new shiny wrench in his hand. I tell him, "Hey, I don't mind you using my wrench but it would be nice if you'd put it back when you're done using it.". Him: "This ain't your wrench". Me: "Oh, really? Do you have a receipt? Did you buy it? Where did you buy it? When did you buy it?". Him: "Well it's not yours." Me: "How do you figure it's not mine?" Him: "Cause it's brand new, so it's company" Me: "Oh, your your father in law bought it? CB&I bought it? Since when do they supply personal tools? Did you get it out of the supply van? NO! I bought it yesterday, I have a receipt to prove it, and I can tell you where I purchased it. It's mine and put it back!!!!". He later stole it again. Hahaha on him. He got transferred to another crew away from his father in law and then promptly fired. Not everyone is going to put up with such a shit for brains.
