It doesn't cost $5000 a month to put a tent on the ground, people involved in this scheme are skimming the funds somewhere, the same way contractors go charging $1000 for a hammer when the government's paying the bill.

the staff who get paid to work there probably get 18$/hour.

Truth is Dems actually pay their people less than anywhere else.

These relief programs aren’t about helping anyone, it’s all about skimming, chances are newsom or pelosi has a family member whose buying cheap tents from China for $20 and using child labor to pitch them and billing the government $5000/mo for maintenance.

I actually noticed this back when I was serving and bartending. The more visibly leftist they are, the worse they tip. They all think the working man deserves a decent wage, as long as someone else is paying for it.

Probably Pelosi’s or Newsome’s 501c3 non profit homeless corporation, paying their plebes $18/hr while collection $190/hr per night per tent to funnel to them via campaign “contributions”. Total scam.

True. I read that hammer story is a bad example of gov’t waste as it was a lot of research for a very small run on hammers for some niche deep sea use.

USSR had titanium adjustable wrenches. BTW, long ago while working at a small shipyard in Waveland Mississippi I picked up a rusty wrench out of the mud. It was made in USSR. I'm guessing for export because the lettering was not Cyrillic. It had one feature that made perfect sense to me. You could only adjust it to smallest setting at 1/4 inch or so. More evidence it was made for export in my mind. But think of it, why would you have a wrench adjustable to completely close? Wouldn't it then be just an awkward hammer?

Interesting. 5mm I wonder? How big an adjustable was it?

“USSR” and not “CCCP,” huh

Some hammers must be made for explosion proof applications, such as near weapons or fuel. Those hammers can be a few hundred bucks each for regular industrial application.

More like skimming funds EVERYWHERE. They could probably put up a new tent every few days for cheaper than that
