The old movies I remember always depicted the ancient Egyptian ruling class as White people. I always grew up believing that the ancient Egyptians were White. All of a sudden later on niggas started saying that they waz kangz and sheeiiit! I then saw these ancient Egyptian depictions as black and I was confused as fuck! Same exact thing happened to me. When I was young I got really into Egyptian history. Even decorated a room with the theme. Later when Egyptians suddenly became kangz I was told it was “cultural appropriation”. Then when I took the red pill I knew considering everything they built/did/documented-they had to be white.
