I was an Assistant Scoutmaster back in the late 90s / early 00s for a couple of years. When I signed up, we had to sign a thing that said we were not homosexual, we had to get fingerprinted and background checked, and they had a very strict rule for adults: you are NEVER alone with the Scouts. There are ALWAYS two Scoutmasters present for any interaction with a Scout. And this was 20 years ago.

I was in the UK scouts, this was back before being a pervert was applauded by the media and the Left.
I never saw anything iffy, what was an issue was that very few White people gave a shit about organising outdoor stuff like this for kids, which is why I ended up on the Right Wing and everyone else who never joined the Scouts turned into a basement Leftist.

see, what you do is, if your kid gets molested, you kill the guy that did it, and make sure no one knows it was you. Then that happens enough times, and the problem is solved for everyone. yay!
I was in the boy scouts until around age 13. I didn't see a whole lot from the adults but in hindsight I had a few strange as fuck situations.
One older kid tried to give me jewelry, like a dwarf with red demon eyes. At the time I was weirded out and declined, I couldn't imagine my parents reacting well at the time. He would blow up condoms and seemed very prone to talking about sexual stuff. He said he really liked me and cared about me.
One other time another bigger kid tried wrestling me and it felt like he was dry humping me too, I called him out and he tried to play it off.
A different kid around my age rubbed his feet on my leg in a tent and I moved away, never said anything about it.
This was in the early 2000s, so I imagine shit only got worse. On the other end of the spectrum, I got to mess around with the sisters of the other kids, kissing and 2nd base so it wasn't all gay lmao.
