I'm no expert but wouldn't any decent defense lawyer just request a change of venue if the pool of jurors are deemed to be biased by local media coverage? I thought this was already a tactic and counter-tactic.

police need to start training for street clearance 101. LIVE ammo needs to be used. no matter what the decision is there will be a riot. if he is found not guilty, there will be a riot. if he is found guilty and sentenced to prison there will be a riot. it's a no win scenario.
