I know someone who works at Best Buy, here's how it went down.

  1. Everyone gets $15/hr
  2. Geek Squad is now pissed that the sales people make $15/hr while Geek Squad (which is definitely a higher skill position) only makes a little more
  3. Best Buy has record profits and sales
  4. Best Buy decides to start firing sales people and giving them more responsibilities around the store
  5. Best Buy starts closing stores and letting lots of people go

The whole thing has been a textbook liberal failure in $15/hr minimum wage. They are now going to use the cost of labor and sales people to justify moving those positions into warehouse jobs that pay $15/hr but it takes less than half the employees than a brick and mortar store.

I was harassed multiple times (while killing time in a Best Buy looking at nothing in particular, waiting for a meeting) for not wearing a mask. I grew tired of the pimply faced +30yr old soys demanding I wear a mask, so I told them I wasn't going to give then my patronage and headed for the door. Swore that I wouldn't ever set foot in their store again. FuqEm! Frys, I weep for you.

And one Hedge Fund bailed out the other. Why? Because they all work for each other and in the end they won't lose money. They literally print money. Where do you think their capital comes from?

Amazon is kicking their proverbial asses. who buys overpriced shit from best buy any more, who waits on a turd to treat you like an imposition because you want a bargain rather than the overpriced golden phone. I was treated so poorly by best buy last time I was in their store, I took them off my list of vendors. no pity for the snots that had no time for me. humility is a must in the world of sales.
