Ok, but in practice I've still seen white sout american being called "hispanic" along with jews, injuns, blacks and everything in between.

people should just do what Spain has done for over 400 years... use the word "mestizo" instead of the misused word "hispanic"

Spain has more words than just "mestizo" too, they have a variety of level of race mixing words.
