I love those commercials. Because black guys like that are so rare they’re almost non-existent, and of the ones who are like that, a large majority are foreigners.
One of our traveling contractors, a very well educated black man, tried to get me to be “his girl in town” for his visits to our site. Another, equally well educated guy, tried to rape me on a night when our entire shop went out from drinks, and then tried to pretend like nothing happened the next day.
I’m not saying that’s a representative sample. Just my experience. (TBF, the white Western guys behaved like pigs at that particular assignment as well... but not that bad).
