The modern Left gains power, but instead of bringing the Working Class along with them, they reject them in favour of intersectional BS like 'trans rights', and so the working class reject them in favour of the Rights Populist ideas about nationality and anti elitism. There's a good reason for that. Socialists gain power by promising status to the least capable in society. White skilled workers will always have high potential for value, so they have low inherent loyalty to a socialist regime.
