Who needs White Men to design our engines when we have all of these wonderful and diverse engineers who can do it better!

Diversity is our strength! It makes things so much better doesn't it? That cultural enrichment!

It'll be fine. The government put those Nigerian jet engine maintenance techs up in a Holiday Inn when they got off the plane from Nigeria.

Once is an accident, twice is a coincidence.

Three times is enemy action.

First thing that popped into my mind.

Malaysia Flight 370 crashed in March. Maybe this is the next thing the media will run with until (shakes dice) summer.

Well, no wonder. From their website:

Diversity and inclusion are part of Boeing's values at the highest level. Having diverse employees, business partners and community relationships is vital to creating advanced aerospace products and services for our diverse customers around the world.

PW400 engine. Again.

747-200 is a model that hasn't been made for a LONG time.

Sounds like it's an "old Pratt & Whitney engines with spotty maintenance" problem rather than a Boeing problem. It's also used on the Airbus A300 and A330, so we could see one of them have an issue eventually as well.

spotty maintenance

Hmmm... I wonder which crack diverse maintenance team worked on these engines...

Longtail Aviation is based out of Bermuda. Make of that what you will, lol.

Also I rescind my statement about the 747. It was a -400 instead of a -200. Although it still could likely be rather old.

Boe: to malfunction spectacularly.

Ergo, there are flying planes, and therr are boeing planes.

That's pretty true these days. Boeing can't seem to keep a plane in the air.

Reminder: Boeing's engines are built by GE, or Pratt and Whitney.
