Knew a kid who grew up on soy-based vegan foods that all pretended to be real foods, eg: soy "chicken" nuggets. His family put him onto all of this fake food from birth for "health reasons" but are now appalled that he has become a transjenner.

His mother was indeed big on a quasi-Christian cult, and she did try to keep her and her son isolated even though they lived in suburbia, but he regularly hung out with the other boys in the neighborhood. I've tried beyond meat patty and it looked like a chewed up and regurgitated vegetables put together in a patty shape. It didn't have that bite of the meat and the taste was nothing to write home about. Plus, it has an incredibly long list of chemicals they put together to even call this food. It's more like a laboratory experiment.

Literally impossible to ever replace meat. It will miss all of the things which are produced external to the muscle. For example, hormones which is the primary reason we eat red meat protein.
