This is the problem here, you would know the answer if you just followed the link. There are no "photo" cameras, just hazard and navigation cameras, they all have to be wide-angle to be usable without panning. The rest have a zoom lens or are just spectrometers.
Duh, yes of course 'no photo cameras' on one of the absolute few things in the whole of mans history of existence to document being on an entirely different planet without it having deliberately added image distortion, instead of using standard wide angle panoramic lens. Right makes sense, lmao.
without it having deliberately added image distortion
It's like I'm talking to a demented person. They're navigation cameras, no one's distorting anything on purpose.
instead of using standard wide angle panoramic lens.
They're not shooting Tarantino movies up there.
Just stop looking at the photos if you feel tricked by them. lol
Yes you're a retard. Every description of fish eye lens are all variations of -
'A fisheye lens is an ultra wide-angle lens that produces strong visual distortion intended to create a wide panoramic or hemispherical image' - From wiki-nigger.
Or this-
'It’s one of the most unique lenses out there for how it creates a spherical, warped perception of the frame.'
They were not created for navigation you tard, they were 'based on how a fish would see an ultrawide hemispherical view from beneath the water ... Instead of producing images with straight lines of perspective'.
So yes, they are using a lens that was designed to 'distort' the true image of how we would see something rather than use an actual panoramic lens if it were solely for navigation.
