The start of a slippery slope. Some bureaucrat gets to decide who is of enough value to society to receive medical treatment and who is not?

Mark my words, soon it will be a larger list of 'undesirables' which will be denied care... criminals then radicals, then extremists. Then conservatives and then Christians... you see where this is going.

You can't put a person with down syndrome on a ventilator because they'll never come off it. They have low muscle tone. When the machine takes over, the muscles that control breathing get even weaker. Even if you make the COVID go away, they can't come off the life support machine and breathe independently again. "Learning difficulties" is the UK codeword for retarded. They're not talking about not treating a kid who struggles with math. They mean full tards, they just won't say that. If people would just say what they really mean life would be so much easier. There actually is good medical judgement behind this, but no one wants to accept that giving a ventilator to someone healthy enough to recover makes more sense than giving it to someone who stands no chance of recovery.

We’re at the bottom of the slope on that one. Governments have been deciding who they support and who they don’t. How many white families get Medicaid, welfare, etc when they need it? They usually have some hoops to jump though. Non-whites just walk in on their 18th birthday and get those sweet benefits. I used to see it in CA all the time.
