Consider the following - two world wars, and countless smaller conflicts. Who are the most eager to stand for what is right? Who is the most likely to not live? It was a negative selection at its finest. And a "consumerism culture", quite intentionally, scaled it up to incredibly powerful levels, by creating atomized society of ignorant individuals. Leaving in continuous fear, incapable of logical reasoning, rejecting uncomfortable thoughts, immature, weak, submissive. IQ or not, the world is at its bottom now, and judging by the crowds of masked sheep around - we have a long way to go up... if we'd ever make it.
