It was a negative selection at its finest. And a "consumerism culture", quite intentionally, scaled it up to incredibly powerful levels, by creating atomized society of ignorant individuals. Leaving in continuous fear, incapable of logical reasoning, rejecting uncomfortable thoughts, immature, weak, submissive.
IQ or not, the world is at its bottom now, and judging by the crowds of masked sheep around - we have a long way to go up... if we'd ever make it.
