Don't tell your wife anything.

"She's not your wife anymore" is very common.

Don't tell your kids anything either.

I understand what you're saying. I feel the impetus, particular for those who've been burned. If God exists (I think he does) then the love between a man and a woman is one of his great gifts. If you can't trust your wife, unwife her. Family is the most important thing in this world.
