I haven't read Ellen White's work and have not used it in my beliefs. I focus on the Bible. There may come a time when I accept her as a prophet but that time is not yet. If you want to know what pride and arrogance look like, look no further than a church that seeks to change the commandments of God. Let me know how you reconcile the papacy's endorsement of homosexual civil unions, the changing of the Holy Sabbath, and the editing of the 10 Commandments. Appeals to the Holy Spirit in this context are laughable. Such invocations must be tested by the Word of God. Where these statements contradict the Word of God they are not the Holy Spirit talking, but another far less savory spirit. If you doubt the corruption of the church, look to their protection of pedophiles in their own ranks.
