"Their master is government abuse," is air tight. How many times can you think of the SC coming down on the side of liberty as opposed to additional police power? Few. There are some in recent history, but clearly the momentum is in the direction of fewer liberties.
I think the time is ripe for warrantless search and seizure of a person's home, I won't be shocked by that decision. OTOH I would be (pleasantly) surprised by a 7-2 decision defending freedom from warrantless searches of the home. My expectations here are admittedly low.
Yeah, that describes my thoughts exactly.
