Didn't they learn from Prohibition? You keep bars open, license them, send the fire marshal to make sure it's not too crowded. That's how you deal with booze. If not? You get speakeasies and private parties, where they pack 'em in, don't hire any security, and serve them sub-par booze. Like WTF this is guaranteeing an outbreak. People are going to go to house parties instead. No bartender to cut them off. And in a Black city like NO? That means you're going to see a lot of shootings etc too. God I hate these fucking Dem politicians. You can't legislate or order people out of human nature. When I was in high school I thought the dems were great, why can't we just be nice and have nice things? Uh, turns out people suck. Someone's always gonna sin, you can't be Pollyanna you have to be realistic. When I was in my 20s I thought "why can't we have social medicine like Canada?" Well, we can't have nice things like other countries, we have too many fucking third world people here. We don't have a sensible points system for immigration. We have an "anyone who can waddle over the bridge, especially if they hate us" policy. Too many users and weirdos coming in, and too much disrespect directed at the actual contributors & hard workers. That's all there is to it. We're like the trash receptacle for the world, we have Dem politicians fighting to keep MS-13, Mexican child-touchers, weird Muslim extremists here. Anything but a sane, stable white nuclear family. Anything but the kind of ethical, hard-working, non-tax-cheating population that can actually make a national health service work. A standard white Canadian or Swedish guy would work until his arms fell off before taking a handout. We don't have that anymore, our society mocks that guy. We're fucked. It kills me to fucking see Rashida Tlaib crying about an "insurrection" she wasn't even there for and how traumatized she is by it. Like have any of these people ever personally overcome an actual crisis? If any of these morons had a real, concrete problem in front of them, it would fucking kill them. Like if a rear tire blew out on their car they'd be so PTSD over it they'd never leave the mental hospital. "I almost died during my commute. A white-engineered tire failed me, just like I knew it always would. Why was I even driving a car? How could I have let myself participate in climate change that way!"
