At one point, you hear the male who was shot shout something like "Yeah, I hope you like living in hell here with us"; something like that. That probably means there's been ongoing feuds. Some incidents were probably more serious than "shoveling snow onto his property". But based on everything we know about the shooter, he was a brilliant engineer and by all accounts a good guy. *But a couple who live across the street kept fucking with him and pushing him around.* This goes on, and on, and on, and on.... Until one snowy day. One snowy day, our shooter is outside shoveling. The couple who are always giving him shit are out there too, *shoveling snow onto his property.* He does the sensible thing, and asks them to "stop". He probably asked nicely, but that doesn't matter- even if he said "Hey you fucking idiots, you're shoveling your snow onto my property, stop it.", the appropriate reaction to this would be "Oh, sorry" then mumble "asshole" quietly enough that he can't hear it, and continue shoveling. Conflict avoided. The inappropriate reaction? To say "No, fuck you, here, have some more snow." And then when he gets pissed, calling him a pussy and threatening to make his life hell while your shrew wife eggs you on, do *not* ask him to shoot you. And when he does open fire, do *not* stand still until he hits you. The shooter in this situation snapped, and he was driven to it by his victims.
