Anybody staying together with the US at this point is simply signing a death pact. Anyone who can get out, and that includes secession, is better off.
Not saying youre wrong. Just saying I have equal faith in the leaders of Texas as I do every major world government.
Not putting my faith in them. But it’s a a hell of a lot easier to seize and hang the members of the state legislature and governor’s office than it is DC. That’s called accountability.
I was thinking a bit farther than that. Kinda expecting Texas to leave, be "invaded" by those who were invited, have America sit on its hands because Texas isnt a part of it, then have Texas be a point to invade the rest of the nation.
All of which is premeditated and desired by all major leaders involved. Thus leading to a truly conquered nation. A hop skip and jump away from proper world domination.
A wild theory of mine. I dare not say its expected. Just that I wouldnt be surprised.
If such a thing were to happen Texas would be the best state to play that role.
